Tide Sister 007 first appeared on paper in 1979. She is a reimagining of one of the mermaids I drew as a child. Nearly five decades later, I returned to the original drawing, keeping as much of her childhood design as I could while letting her surface again as a Tide Sister.
Her long yellow hair, gray tail, little red fish and sea creature eating seaweed beside her came directly from my original 1979 drawing.
